Essential Oils
Essential oils are volatile and strongly aromatic oils typically obtained from the flower, leaf, or bark parts of plants through steam distillation or cold pressing.
Carrier Oil (Fixed Oils)
Fixed oils are obtained by mechanically pressing seeds, kernels, or fruits without the application of heat. As no thermal processing is applied, the vitamin and fatty acid profile is preserved.
Infused & Macerated Oils
Botanical materials (such as flowers or roots) are soaked in a carrier oil (typically olive oil) for a specific period of time to allow the active compounds to infuse into the oil.
Hydrosols (Flower Waters)
The aromatic water phase released during the steam distillation of essential oils. It is a lighter, water-based, and lower-concentration form of the essential oil.
